Several of the more interesting features, however, include several modes of auto-focus (while retaining manual focus and even fixed-focus if desired); several modes of auto-iris, and may be configured to automatically switch to night vision mode as the ambient light fades away.

The night vision mode, available to those systems configured with one or more infrared illuminators, produces black-and-white video and is very effective on the darkest of nights.

The Predator produces brilliant auto-focused images combined with precision exposure control and picture clarity available in few other systems, and does so at an affordable price.

The Predator's broad-range IR sensitivity, it's ability to operate from either AC or DC voltage, it's serial OR analog control, and its suite of features make it the ideal choice when considering upgrading existing systems.

And for those systems currently using infrared illuminators, the Predator's sensitivity to IR extends from below 600nm to 800nm and beyond, including the covert 940nm. It'll fit right in with your existing equipment!

And remember, Predator's covert Illuminators are invisible to the human eye, and completely eye-safe at distances beyond 4 feet.

The entry-level Predator offers 18x optical & 4x digital gain, providing a combined 72x zoom capability ( and the optical extender provides 36x optical gain which, coupled with the 4x digital gain, provides a phenomenal 144x zoom capability! )

Optional alarm capabilities may be triggered by motion detection, loss of video, or external events. Sophisticated motion-detection algorithms permit the user to define the nature of the motion to respond to, including the location, amount, and even direction of motion to respond to. Motion reaction includes emailing messages and images to multiple recipients as well as triggering external devices.

All-weather environmental housing permits mounting the Predator outdoors.
