WDFW Ferruginous Hawk nest

First out of the nest 2004... this image shows the hawk standing on the battery beside the tower leg.

Placing the camera. The nest is in the center of the tower just below the camera. The black rectangle on the tower leg is the solar panel. Yours truly is safely off to the right at ground level, verifying the solar power connections.

In the nest, some forty feet aloft, a bull snake prepares to fight for life - ultimately unsuccessfully.
